2.Listing information
Listings are written and uploaded by sellers, landlords and estate agents. We do not inspect properties, verify ownership at the Deeds Office, check measurements, confirm mandates or verify an agent’s Fidelity Fund Certificate.
Erf sizes, floor areas, room counts, ages, rates, levies, zoning, compliance certificates and descriptions of condition may be approximate, out of date or simply wrong. A property may have defects that the listing does not mention.
Always verify independently
Before making an offer or paying anything, view the property in person, appoint your own inspector and valuer, and have a conveyancer confirm title, zoning and any conditions registered against the property. Do not rely on a listing as your basis for a decision.
3.Prices and availability
An asking price is what the advertiser has chosen to ask. It is not a valuation, not an offer, and not a statement of what the property is worth or will sell for.
Prices, rentals, deposits and availability change frequently and a listing may not be updated straight away. A property shown as available may already be sold, let or under offer. Advertised amounts may exclude rates, levies, utilities, VAT, transfer duty, bond registration costs and other charges.
4.Photographs and floor plans
Photographs, floor plans and virtual material are supplied by advertisers. They may be edited, wide-angled, staged, taken some time ago, or show a show unit rather than the actual property. Furniture and fittings in a photograph are not necessarily included in the sale or lease.
5.Maps, boundaries and area data
Map positions are approximate and may be placed at a street, suburb or centroid rather than the exact stand. Suburb and neighbourhood boundaries shown on Plotwise are indicative, are drawn for search convenience, and are not official municipal, cadastral or Surveyor-General boundaries. Do not rely on them for any legal, zoning, valuation, schooling or municipal purpose.
Any area statistics, price trends or neighbourhood information are general indicators derived from limited data. They are not a valuation of any specific property and should not be used as one.
6.The bond calculator
The bond and affordability calculator produces an illustrative estimate only, based on the figures you enter and a default interest rate that may not reflect current rates or the rate any bank would offer you.
It is not:
- a credit quote or pre-agreement statement under the National Credit Act 34 of 2005;
- an offer of credit, a pre-approval or an indication that you will be approved;
- financial advice or an intermediary service under the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act 37 of 2002.
Plotwise is not a registered credit provider, credit originator or financial services provider. Your actual repayment depends on the rate, term, deposit, fees, insurance and credit assessment set by your bank. Get a written quotation from a registered credit provider before relying on any number.
The calculator also excludes costs that materially change what a home costs you, including transfer duty, transfer and bond registration attorney fees, initiation fees, rates, levies, insurance and maintenance.

Our selling guides and other articles are general commentary for a South African audience. They are not legal, tax, financial or property advice, they may become out of date as law and practice change, and they cannot account for your circumstances. Consult a suitably qualified professional before acting on anything you read here.
8.Agents, sellers and landlords
Plotwise does not endorse, recommend, accredit or vouch for any advertiser. The presence of a person or agency on the site is not a statement that they are competent, licensed, solvent or honest.

10.Reporting a problem
Every listing has a Report this listing link at the bottom of the page. Use it — it reaches us directly, you do not need an account, and the advertiser is never told who reported them. You can also email contact@plotwise.co.za with a link and a short explanation. We look at every report, and we can remove listings under section 15 of our Terms of Use.
